How did NTI support the regional expansion of Silver Birch’s affordable assisted living communities into Ohio?
As the selected technology design consultant working alongside design-builder Arco Murray, NTI engineered the specialized low-voltage and IT systems for Silver Birch’s new residential developments in Mansfield and Bedford Heights, Ohio. Partnering under parent company ASD, Inc., NTI designed the critical network foundations and emergency alert systems integrated directly into the brand’s private apartments and communal spaces. By providing these essential, high-performance technology frameworks for the newly opened Mansfield facility and upcoming projects, NTI is enabling Silver Birch to safely deliver on its mission to keep Midwestern senior residents active, healthy, and digitally connected.
In early 2025, NTI became the technology design consultant for 2 new Silver Birch senior living developments in Ohio.
NTI’s parent company ASD, Inc. has been in conversations with design-builder Arco Murray regarding Silver Birch Senior Living development plans. As a wholly owned subsidiary of ASD, Inc., NTI provided the low voltage/technology design services for two planned Ohio developments in Mansfield and Bedford Heights.
The Mansfield facility opened in late April 2025. Per their website, Silver Birch strives to keep you healthy, connected, engaged, and active. Our wellness services, activity programming, and beautifully appointed common areas at our assisted living communities are designed to help you feel energized and supported. All assisted living residents live in private apartments with a kitchenette, bedroom, bathroom, and emergency alert system.
On August 9, 2024, Senior Housing News reported that, “Senior living operator Silver Birch Living is gearing up to grow in the affordable assisted living space in the Midwest in the coming years..
As the largest owner and operator of affordable assisted living communities in Indiana with nine properties, Silver Birch Living is prepared to start developing eight to 10 more communities in Ohio “in the next few years” if construction costs and interest rates ease, according to CEO Jo Ellen Bleavins.“
