State Farm Regional Hub
State Farm’s new Regional Hub is located in the mixed-use campus known as Park Center, developed by KDC and designed by Cooper Carry. The 4-acre corporate development is designed as a live, work, play community and is the largest corporate office project ever developed in Metro Atlanta. At full build-out, the transit connected community will include 2.2 million square feet of office space, and almost 100,000 square feet of retail, restaurants, and entertainment. State Farm is the major tenant at the new Park Center which is located in Dunwoody, GA, a north Atlanta suburb.
Roof terraces, balconies and street level parks are integrated into the design as alternative work places.
Phase I included Building I, a 21 story, 585,000 square foot building with a fitness center, retail on the ground floor, plus a parking structure. won the design project for the Park Center campus before NTI became part of ASD in mid-2018. The ASD team designed the structured cabling system and the security systems for Phase I of the project and completed their work in 2017.
Phase II of the project included Building II and Building III.
Building II opened earlier this year. The 22 story building has approximately 670,000 square feet and, like Building I, is occupied by State Farm employees.
NTI began working with ASD to provide the design for the Building II technology systems (Division 27 & 28 systems). Our design included the entire building’s structured cabling system and security systems, plus campus-wide Wi-Fi coverage and a campus-wide security system including the security operations center. As part of our delivered drawing set, we also documented State Farm’s defined audio visual requirements.
ADDITIONAL CORPORATE PROFILES
United Distributors
United Distributors is the largest alcoholic beverage wholesaler in Georgia and Alabama. First started by Hertz and Kugelman families in the 1940s under the name Fulton Distributors Company in Atlanta, GA. Over the years it has expanded and eventually named United Distributors. It has been managed by the Hertz family for over 4 generations.
NTI provided technology planning and design services for the facilities infrastructure and the systems that rely upon it.
We began with space planning. We then planned and designed the infrastructure including the drawings for cabling systems, data, voice, security, audiovisual and wireless systems.
NTI scope of services
- Facility Technology Design – NTI designed and produced drawings and specifications for the infrastructure for the technology systems for the facilities. NTI coordinated with members of the architect’s team, and the Ownership group. Our drawings detail all of the cabling, technology equipment rooms, power and HVAC requirements, cabling pathways and other elements of the “Information Transport System” (ITS). Using a globally recognized standards-based approach per TIA/EIA, ANSI, and BICSI guidelines, the completed ITS serves as the information highway for all data, security, TV, AV, and wireless systems.
- Security – NTI designed the CCTV and Card access systems within the scope area. The CCTV system design includes specifications and elevations for security cameras, monitors, and DVR units (digital recorders).
- Audio Visual Services – To include a Dynamic Background music system that adheres to the owner’s requirements. This system will support up to four (4) sources of audio that can be distributed, as desired. Video systems include flat panels and projectors. Within the large Training Area, we enhanced the audio system with additional support of microphone and line-level inputs, and with enhanced speakers designed to maximize vocal clarity and Multi-media playback. There is also an additional audio channels that can support Assisted Listening devices or other audio needs. Volume controls and source selectors will be accessible to staff to allow for control without the need to go to a central closet to make changes.
- Construction Administration – During the construction phase, NTI personnel responded to inquiries from the contractors regarding the build-out of the technology systems and visited the site to personally witness the contractor’s progress, workmanship and adherence to NTI drawings and specifications.
From concept through implementation, we worked closely with the Architect and Ownership teams to assure that the United Distributors facilities are configured to address tomorrow’s technology challenges today.

American Red Cross Regional Headquarters
The Indianapolis Red Cross moved from its sprawling headquarters at 441 E. 10th Street to its new location in 2016 that’s approximately 26,000 sf. The same year it celebrated its 100th anniversary in Indiana. In a three-way swap of sorts, the city bought the old Red Cross building to relocate Fire Station 7 and city fire headquarters from their location in the 500 block of Massachusetts Avenue.
The new Indianapolis Red Cross headquarters serves 87 counties. “We are 50 percent of the blood supply in the state of Indiana. We provide life-saving health and safety education, CPR, first aid,” according to CEO Chad Priest. “We respond to disasters domestically and internationally. We do five or six of those a night in Indiana, mostly home fires.”
