NTI served on the design team as technology consultant for Milton City Hall project. The new city hall is a two-story building that’s 32,000 square feet and includes a community center building. The exterior architecture integrates historic Milton elements and the interior architecture designed to foster collaboration. Design of the public areas allow the community to interact with various city departments and maintains an open environment with lots of natural light. Energy efficiency and many sustainable design practices were incorporated.
NTI Scope of Services
Data/Voice & Special Systems Cabling Design
We designed Data/Voice cabling infrastructure systems including horizontal and vertical cabling, cabling pathways, cable management and IDF, MDF and Equipment Room closet layouts and all outlet details. The cabling system will support voice and data (POS, PMS, Admin LAN, wireless and hardwired Internet access) services. We showed conduit and back box requirements for coordination and ultimately incorporate into the MEP documents.
MATV/CATV Cabling System Design
We coordinated with the television service vendor and Architect to identify all cabling,
junction boxes, TV locations, splitters, taps and amplifiers as necessary to provide a complete
distribution system to support the MATV/CATV system. We also provided layout details for
the new head end room and a performance specification for the MATV distribution system.
Using the performance specification, the cabling vendor will have the necessary information to
design, install and test/certify the new MATV infrastructure (including all amplifiers, taps and
terminations) in accordance with the equipment vendor requirements.
Audio Visual & Control Systems
Audio/Video council chamber technology, meeting room technology, distributed Audio/Video
systems, display systems, and sound recording, reinforcement and masking systems as
required in Council Chamber, Meeting Rooms, and appropriate Public Area. Control systems for
evidentiary submittals presentation, distribution, and storage will also be a part of the design
scope, as will AV support systems for all spaces through-out the Administration areas.

Paulding County Jail & Sheriff’s Office
The new Paulding County Jail & Sheriff’s Office headquarters in Dallas, GA broke ground in 2018 and it’s completion is anticipated in late 2020. The new jail will double the total number of inmate beds than the current jail provides. The new development will also include a new administrative space for the sheriff’s office and the county government’s first dedicated morgue. NTI is proud to have served as the technology consultant for the new jail and sheriff’s office headquarters.
The new 660 bed, 133,000 square foot jail is built on a 25-acre site and replaces a 25-year-old 200-bed facility. The 58,000 square foot sheriff’s office headquarters is adjacent to the jail. The new Sheriff’s Office consolidates all divisions under one roof, making it easier for citizens. It will also help the Sheriff’s Office run more efficiently because everyone will operate out of the same building. And it will also cut down on the risk of transporting inmates to court, because of the enclosed walkway from the new jail to the courthouse.
