State Farm Regional Hub

May 4, 2020

State Farm’s new Regional Hub is located in the mixed-use campus known as Park Center, developed by KDC and designed by Cooper Carry. The 4-acre corporate development is intended to be a live, work, play community. It is the largest corporate office project ever developed in Metro Atlanta. At full build-out, the transit connected community will include 2.2 million square feet of office space and almost 100,000 square feet of retail, restaurants, and entertainment. State Farm is the primary tenant at the new Park Center, located in Dunwoody, GA, a north Atlanta suburb.

Roof terraces, balconies, and street-level parks are integrated into the design as alternative workplaces.

Phase I included Building I, a 21 story, 585,000 square foot building with a fitness center, retail on the ground floor, plus a parking structure. ASD® won the Park Center campus design project before NTI became part of ASD® in mid-2018. The ASD® team designed the structured cabling system and the security systems for Phase I of the project and completed their work in 2017.

Phase II of the project included Building II and Building III.

Building II opened earlier this year. The 22 story building has approximately 670,000 square feet and, like Building I, is occupied by State Farm employees.

NTI began working with ASD® to provide the design for the Building II technology systems (Division 27 & 28 systems). Our design included the entire building’s structured cabling system and security systems, plus campus-wide Wi-Fi coverage and a campus-wide security system including the security operations center. As part of our delivered drawing set, we also documented State Farm’s defined audio visual requirements.

Building III is 18 stories and approximately 440,000 square feet. As with Building II, NTI designed the structured cabling for the building, the building security, and documented State Farms defined audio visual requirements. Building III is scheduled to be completed in the first quarter of 2021.

Part of the design for Phase II included preparing (future-proofing) for a potential Phase III.

State Farm is expected to add 3,000 employees to the campus over the next few years, eventually housing approximately 8,000 people.

This was the first project worked on by the collective design teams of ASD® and NTI after our merger. We could not have picked a better project to be our first design collaboration.
