Ponce City Market – Atlanta’s Newest Landmark

May 28, 2017

Ponce City Market is the largest ever adaptive reuse in Atlanta. The building first opened on August 2, 1926, as Atlanta’s first Sears retail store. Over the years, Sears expanded until the building was over 2 million square feet under roof.

From its landmark location in Old Fourth Ward, Ponce City Market has become a connecting point for the exciting mix of adjoining neighborhoods and beyond. Ponce City Market is focused on building community connections and has incorporated a pedestrian network. Public green spaces and access to the Atlanta BeltLine corridor are all within the revitalized historic property. As a community hub, the massive mixed-use development adds the in-town convenience and comfort of highly-desirable retail around the Central Food Hall, as well as exceptional Flats apartments and Class-A loft office space. It is no wonder that it is an instant landmark Atlanta destination.

NTI began working as the Technology Consultant for Atlanta’s largest-ever adaptive reuse project in late 2012 and recently finished our scope of work over four years later. We are very proud to have been involved with this instantly popular Atlanta destination.
